Pulse guides

Step-by-step tutorials for everything you do in Pulse. New here? Start with Your first day.

Your first day in Pulse

What to do after you accept your invite, in order.

  1. Sign in

Open the invite link from your email, set your password, then sign in. On a new device Pulse emails you a 6-digit code; tick Trust this device for 30 days so it only asks every 30 days.

  2. Pick your call sources

Your Overview opens on a setup screen. Under Choose your call sources, tick the sources that are yours and press Save. Only calls from those sources count toward your profit and ROI.

    Open Overview
  3. Check your ad accounts

Step 2 of the setup screen lists the ad accounts an admin gave you. If it says it is waiting, ask an owner or admin to give you your accounts in Members.

  4. Wait for the first sync

Meta spend syncs every few minutes and calls arrive as they happen. Your dashboard fills in by itself; the Health page shows when the last sync ran.

    Open Health
  5. Turn on notifications

In Settings → Notifications, allow push on this device so you hear about losing campaigns and broken tracking without keeping Pulse open.

    Open Notifications

Read the Overview

How today is going, at a glance.

  1. The top strip

Profit, spend, revenue, ROI, calls and billable calls for today, on every page. A green N live badge shows calls in progress right now.

  2. Pick a date range

Use the date picker in the filter bar. The range stays in the link, so it carries over when you move to Campaigns, Creatives or Calls.

  3. Needs attention

Pulse lists what is losing money or looks broken (clicks with no calls, cost per billable call above payout). Start your day here.

  4. Matched / All

Matched leaves direct campaigns and calls that could not be tied to an ad out of the totals. All counts everything.

  5. Freshness dots

Top right: when the newest call arrived and when Meta last synced. Green is fresh, amber is getting old, red needs a look on Health.

Connect your own Meta ad accounts

Only needed if an admin hasn’t given you your accounts.

  1. Open Ad accounts

Go to Settings → Ad accounts.

    Open Ad accounts
  2. Add a Meta connection

Paste a system user access token from your Business Manager (Business settings → System users → Generate token, with ads_read).

  3. Track the accounts

Pulse lists every ad account the token can see. Tick the ones you run and save; only tracked accounts sync.

  4. Confirm it worked

Within a few minutes spend shows on Campaigns, and Health shows the account with a recent sync.

    Open Health

Choose which calls are yours

Call sources and call rules.

  1. Open Call tracking

Go to Settings → Call tracking and find your call sources.

    Open Call tracking
  2. Tick your sources

Tick every source you run traffic to. Pulse shows a preview of how many calls each choice would count before you save.

  3. Add a filter if you share a source

A filter (for example by campaign or number) counts only the calls that match. The rest wait in Calls → Needs review.

  4. Save

Saving starts the sync. New sources that appear later show up in your bell so you can decide on them.

Review calls

Make sure every call is credited correctly.

  1. Open Calls

Every call with its Meta ad, source, outcome and recording. Tabs: Counted, Needs review, Excluded.

    Open Calls
  2. Work Needs review

Tick the calls that are yours and press Count these. Calls that belong to someone else: Not mine.

  3. Listen when in doubt

Play the recording from the row before deciding.

  4. Export

Press Export CSV at the top of the page to download the current list.

Find winners and cut losers

Campaigns, Creatives and the analysis pages.

  1. Campaigns

Profit by campaign › ad set › ad, with a 7-day trend, status and budget. Use Group by to view by offer.

    Open Campaigns
  2. Creatives

Ads ranked by profit, revenue per call, billable %, ROI, CTR and hook rate. Open an ad for detail or compare two.

    Open Creatives
  3. Hours, States, Placements, Age

Where and when you make or lose money. Hours is a weekday × hour heatmap for scheduling; States shows which states lost money.

    Open Hours
  4. Save a view

Set the filters you check every day and save them as a view, so it is one click next time.

Change ads from Pulse

Pause, resume and budgets, if your workspace allows it.If your workspace allows it

  1. Open Ad Control

Only shown if an admin let you change your own ads.

    Open Ad Control
  2. Pick the ad

Find the campaign, ad set or ad and choose pause, resume or a new budget.

  3. Confirm

Changes go to Meta right away and are logged in Actions, so the team can see who changed what.

Turn ads on and off on a schedule

Pulse runs it, in the time zone you pick. No Meta rules needed. If your workspace allows it

  1. Open Schedules

Go to Ad Control → Schedules and press New schedule.

    Open Schedules
  2. Pick what to switch

Choose The campaign, Ad sets or Ads, pick the campaign, then All in this campaign, Pick the ones you want, or Name contains a word. Pulse shows how many it reaches right now.

  3. Pick days and times

Tap the days (or Weekdays), then set Turn on at and Turn off at, on the hour or half hour. Leave one unticked to only turn on or only turn off.

  4. Pick the time zone

The times follow this time zone, whatever the ad account uses. Pulse shows the time there now and the next run so you can check it.

  5. Save and confirm

Confirm once with your passkey. Pulse runs it on the hour and half hour, logs every change in Activity, and notifies you if Meta refuses a change.

When numbers look wrong

Use Health to find what broke.

  1. Open Health

Each line is OK, Check or Problem.

    Open Health
  2. No spend

Meta sync is stale: the token expired or the account isn’t tracked. Re-check Settings → Ad accounts.

  3. Spend but no calls

Your call sources aren’t picked, or a filter sends calls to Needs review. Check Calls → Needs review first.

  4. Calls not tied to ads

Health shows the unattributed share. A high share usually means the lander isn’t passing the ad ID to the call platform.

Invite and set up a member

Give a new buyer everything they need in one go.Owners & admins

  1. Open Members

Go to Settings → Members and invite by email.

    Open Members
  2. Pick a role

Member sees only their own data. Admin sees everyone and manages settings and members. Owner can also manage admins.

  3. Give vendors and ad accounts

Add their CallGrid vendors and Meta ad accounts or Business Managers in the invite, so their setup screen is ready when they sign in.

  4. After they join

Suspend blocks sign-in but keeps data collecting; Remove stops their sync and keeps history.

Workspace setup

Done once per workspace.Owners & admins

  1. General

Set the workspace name and timezone (all hours and dates use it). Repeat callers and hidden items are in Data rules.
